Strengthening Corporate Governance Across Africa
IoD Zimbabwe, a valued member of the African Corporate Governance Network (ACGN), recently held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), reinforcing its role as a national driver of corporate governance excellence.
At the just-ended event, the IoDZ Board Chair and current ACGN Chair, Mr. Gilfern Moyo, remarked on the institute’s achievements in:
- Enhancing digital engagement and thought leadership
- Growing partnerships with key institutions like Stanbic Bank
- Increasing board placements, with 109 members shortlisted across sectors
- Expanding governance training and board development programmes
The launch of new initiatives such as the Future Directors Development Programme (FDDP) and the Bulawayo Chapter further signal IoDZ’s commitment to developing ethical, effective, and board-ready directors nationwide.
At ACGN, we celebrate and amplify such milestones from across our network as part of our vision to foster sound corporate governance practices across Africa.
